Kick off February Break at The Smith with a performance with award-winning singer and composer  Vincent Nunes!   Geared to children 3-8 years of age, the interactive performance will get kids on their feet — and on the stage — for a joyful afternoon of music.

Nunes’  seven nationally distributed CDs  have won numerous national awards from the Family Choice Awards, Parents’ Choice, NAPPA, Parent’s Guide to Children’s Media, KidsFirst! and ASCAP.   His most recent CD, Smart Songs for Active Children, was named  the 2015 Family Choice Award.

He has performed across the country and is a frequent presenter and keynoter at teacher conferences from Massachusetts to California, and from Texas to Michigan, including the annual conference for the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

“Vincent is a consummate writer and performer who knows his audience.” according to the website KidsFIRST, a coalition for quality children’s media.  “Great continuity and variety of styles. The lyrics are filled with love, fun and positive values  These are indeed smart songs and kids will be dancing and singing along from the first downbeat.”
