Basic Chinese (Registration)

Wood Library, 134 N. Main St., Canandaigua.  Registration begins today for Basic Chinese:  An Introduction to Spoken and Written Chinese, a 4-week course introducing you to Mandarin Chinese.  Guided by a native speaker you will learn simple, practical conversation used with family and friends, while traveling and shopping, for business and pleasure.  Audience level:  adults and high school age teens who want to get started with Chinese.  Class size:  10.  $20 for four meetings.  Instructor:  Jing Qian, a Chinese national who has lived in the U.S. since 2007.  She holds a certificate for teaching Chinese to non-Chinese speakers from Beijing Language University.  The class was previously offered in the Victor and Canandaigua School Systems.  Non-refundable fee is due at registration.  Please register at the Main Floor Desk at Wood Library between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm on Monday, March 15th.  Contact Barbara Henry at 585-394-1381 or bhenry@pls-net.org.
