Antique Kurd bag face rug, 30” x 26.” The front piece of a saddle bag made in Persia (Iran), most likely hand made by Kurdish weavers. Rug experts say it was common practice in the early 1900s to separate saddle bags, thus creating two small rugs to sell to collectors. Tightly woven weave with typical designs including six-sided stars. Circa early 1900.
