GENEVA, NY — The 42nd Infantry Division Band will perform a free concert open to the public on Friday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Smith Opera House, 82 Seneca St. in Geneva.

The 42nd Infantry Division Band is the musical ambassador for the 42nd Infantry Division (M), New York Army National Guard. The 42nd Infantry Division Band has a long, proud history since World War II of providing music to troops and civic events. Most of the band’s travel is within New York State but the 42nd Infantry Division Band has been called upon to travel to Virginia, Germany and Iraq.

The 42nd Infantry Division Band is under the command of Chief Warrant Officer Mark L. Kimes and First Sergeant Leslie G. Saroka.

Admission is free for this event, and no tickets are necessary. For more information, go to www.thesmith.org.
