About Changing The Game
Journeying into the lives of three high school athletes at different stages of their athletic seasons, personal lives, and their unique paths as transgender teens. Their stories span across the U.S.; from Sarah, a skier and teen policymaker in New Hampshire, to Andraya, a track star in Connecticut openly transitioning into her authentic self, and to Mack Beggs, who made headlines last year when he became the Texas State Champion in wrestling.

The Smith will host a special panel discussion on Wednesday, June 30 at 7pm, featuring New York Times writer Gillian Brassil, and co-executive director of the LGBTQ+ Center of the Finger Lakes, Mitch Leet. This discussion is open to all!
About Gillian Rose Brassil
Gillian Rose Brassil is a reporter; most recently, she covered a wide range of sports while on a fellowship with The New York Times. Her work in sports focused primarily on diversity, equity, and inclusion — particularly for people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ athletes. She graduated from Stanford with master’s and bachelor’s degrees in 2019, where she edited and wrote for The Stanford Daily and competed for the synchronized swimming team.
