I’m Still Here, Love: A film by Megan Q. Daniels explores the impact of health mis- and disinformation as told by the family and friends of three unvaccinated men who died from COVID-19. Social media platforms and unqualified health professionals inundated desperate people with farcical information about the reality of COVID-19 and the safety of the vaccine, claiming they were exercising their First Amendment right to “Free Speech.” This film provides insight into the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 mis- and disinformation on communities of color, as well as how grief can be marginalized, labeling COVID-19 deaths as “preventable.”
There will be talkback + Q&A following this film.
