Load-in Directions

Directions to the Smith Opera House

For complete directions to the Theatre, please click here, you will find how to get to the front of the Theatre.

There Are Two Ways to Load in to Our Stage.

1. Loading Dock

Our loading dock is the preferred method. There is a driveway just past
the Theatre entrance that leads to the loading dock.

Front of the Theatre at 82 Seneca Street

The driveway, left side of the theatre.

Due to the limited size of the parking lot, the loading dock is not recommended for semis. Up to a 24′ straight truck is easily accommodated. Larger trucks and trailers should use the Back Stage loading door. (See directions below.)

The loading dock opens directly into the Stage Right wing.

2. Back Stage Loading Door

Semis will not be able to maneuver to our loading dock. As an alternative, you may need to use our Back Stage loading door. This is a smaller door, but more accessible to larger trucks / trailers. As it requires the use of our neighbor Verizon’s parking lot, please let me know in advance if you need to use this option, so that I can obtain their permission.

To get to the backstage door, turn on Castle St. instead of Seneca St. A block up you will get to a traffic light. Right after the light you will see the Verizon parking lot on your left. We are at the back of this parking lot.
