GENEVA, NY – The Smith Center for the Arts is pleased to announce it has been awarded two significant grants to advance its mission of hosting performances, events, and celebrations that catalyze creativity and engage the Finger Lakes community.
The funding comes from the Max and Marian Farash Charitable Foundation, which will support the Smith’s general operating costs, and the Wyckoff Family Foundation, which will provide support for a new project installing handrails in the balcony to improve accessibility and safety for all patrons.
“We are deeply grateful for the support of the Farash Foundation and the Wyckoff Family Foundation,” said Susan Monagan, Executive Director of The Smith. “These grants will allow us to both strengthen our operations and make meaningful improvements to the patron experience. Their investment in our work underscores the importance of accessibility and sustainability in the arts, especially during a time when the future of arts funding is so uncertain.”
