The Smith Opera House Invites the Community to Celebrate 130 Years of Arts and Economic Vitality

GENEVA, NY – The Smith Opera House invites the regional business community and arts supporters to a special celebration marking its 130th anniversary on Thursday, May 1st from 4:00 – 6:00PM. This milestone event, hosted in collaboration with the Finger Lakes, Seneca County, and Ontario County Chambers of Commerce, will highlight the crucial connection between economic vitality and the performing arts. Attendees will enjoy light bites, brief remarks from local leaders, and nuggets from The Smith’s fascinating 130-year history. The structured portion of the program begins promptly at 5:00PM. The afternoon will conclude with a celebratory champagne toast and a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, commemorating 130 years of The Smith Opera House’s enduring presence in the Finger Lakes.
