Sponsorship Opportunities
Why Sponsor The Smith?
The 130-year-old Smith Opera House is one of the oldest operating performing arts theaters in the U.S. and is recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. By sponsoring The Smith, you will not only prioritize the health of our organization, but the exposure, recognition, and reputation of yours!
For more information regarding sponsorships, please contact Athena Rajnai, Development Associate at arajnai@thesmith.org.

Partnerships
- The Smith helped found Alive Downtowns!, A coalition of 13 downtown historic performing arts centers across Upstate New York. These facilities serve over 5 million people annually and have a combined annual income of $900,000,000. Susie Monagan, our Executive Director, has been meeting with elected officials to underline the role our theaters play in making our cities safer, more lively, and more economically viable. The Smith is invested in the success of our region through current memberships in the Finger Lakes, Ontario County, and Seneca County Chambers of Commerce.
Vision Statement
- The Smith Board of Directors will create a future in which The Smith:
Is the marquee performance venue in the Finger Lakes and established anchor of downtown Geneva.
- Galvanizes the cultural vibrancy of its community through its programming, resources, and by actively removing barriers to participation.
- Partners with other institutions and individuals to realize a collaborative, just, and sustainable community.
