Inside of the opera house itself you have the option to either sponsor a seat by purchasing a commemorative plaque that will adorn one of the theatre’s iconic red velvet seats, or designate a star in the artfully painted ceiling mural. As a not-for-profit organization, The Smith relies on contributions to stabilize its operations and ensure that the Opera House will be a destination for future Finger Lakes residents and visitors to enjoy. Gifts from donors allow the Smith to program its stage with a diverse array of live, engaging performances and enables us to preserve, maintain and improve the functionality and comfort of Geneva’s Opera House, a site on the National Register of Historic Places.
