Buy a Brick

Custom bricks laid in front of the Smith Opera HouseBuy a brick and leave your mark on Geneva’s street-scapes.

Remember or honor a friend, neighbor, loved one or family pet.

Proudly display your own name or the name of your business.

Beautify the sidewalk with a few poetic words.

All while supporting the 125 year old Smith Opera House.

Our Buy a Brick donation program allows you to make a generous donation to The Smith and have a brick inscribed with the name or message of your choosing.  Your brick will then be installed in the sidewalk directly in front of the Smith Opera House. You’ll pave the way with a lasting memento of your love of the arts in the Geneva community. The donation for each brick is $100.

How to Buy a Brick

  1. Go to our donation form and fill out the contact information requested. In the Donation field, be sure to type in $100 per brick.
  2. After you fill out this page and hit the “Continue to Payment” button, you will be taken to a PayPal checkout page to complete your donation via debit or credit card.
  3. Once we receive your payment, a Smith staff member will call you to gather the message you would like to have engraved in the brick. (See Brick Inscriptions below for  instructions on how much text you can fit on a brick.)

You can also call 315-781-5483 or stop by the Smith Box Office at 82 Seneca Street in Geneva between 10 am and 4 pm Tuesday through Friday to make your donation and choose your inscription. You can make payment via debit or credit card, check or cash.

Why Support The Smith?

It is a reality that the cost of running and maintaining this beautiful theater greatly exceeds income from ticket sales, sponsorships and rental income. As a not-for-profit organization, generous contributions allow this organization to stabilize its foundation. Your support proudly keeps The Smith Center for the Arts alive as a destination for generations of Finger Lakes residents and visitors.
