2022 Induction Ceremony
In celebration of the achievements of nine incredible women
About this event
The National Women’s Hall of Fame will host its 30th Induction Ceremony on Saturday, September 24 from 2-4pm at the Smith Opera House.
Founded in 1969, the National Women’s Hall of Fame is the nation’s first and oldest nonprofit organization and museum dedicated to honoring the achievements of distinguished American women. In pursuit of our mission of, “Showcasing great women…Inspiring all!,” the National Women’s Hall of Fame honors women with enduring contributions that helped shape our nation’s past, present and future. Since the first Induction Ceremony in 1973, the National Women’s Hall of Fame has honored 293 women whose stories serve as inspiration for all. Inductees to be honored this year are Octavia E. Butler, Judy Chicago, Rebecca Halstead, Joy Harjo, Emily Howland, Katherine Johnson, Indra Nooyi, and Michelle Obama. 2005 Inductee Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton is serving as honorary chair and will be joined by other Inductees to celebrate these exceptional women. We hope you’ll join us too!
In addition to the Induction Ceremony, the National Women’s Hall of Fame is hosting a full weekend of activities, including events that are free and open to the public. Please visit womenofthehall.org for more information.
