Celebrate Geneva!
Celebrate Geneva, a dazzling all-community program, will take place at the Smith Opera House from 4-5 p.m. Music from the MLK Choir and others will be featured, along with a parade of community organizations and leaders. A Geneva Trivia Game will test the audience’s local knowledge. Finally, a professional documentary, “Geneva, Then and Now,” sponsored by Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Geneva-Ark Lodge No. 33 Free and Accepted Masons, will be screened. The documentary is being produced by the Colleges’ Center for Media and Society.
Following the Smith program, all are invited to a grand reception sponsored by Vance Metal Fabricators at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center in Lakefront Park, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Food, drink and the best viewing spot for a 7:30 p.m. fireworks display over the lake will await. The Cabaret level of the Smith Opera House will be open beginning at 3pm so that all may view the artwork of Geneva’s school children.
